Gayle Crisp is a multi-modal experiential creative arts practitioner working as an educator, facilitator, artist and therapist in a variety of capacities within her community. In her work with individuals, groups and organisations she utilises somatic, experiential and creative processes to explore lived moments and meanings, to deepen understandings of human experience with a vision to empower people and enrich lives.
Gayle believes it is vital to the emergence of authentic wellbeing within communities that we work collaboratively to make meaning of our lives together and find ways to connect and be together. She is inspired by our ability as humans in an interconnected world to hold the space for each other as we explore creatively who we are and how we want to be.
Gayle's experience within the creative arts covers drama, dance, movement, visual arts, photography, writing, play. She has been working in the performing arts industry for over 25 years, and has included performing, directing, stage management and education. She has spent the last 11 years working as a part-time primary school drama specialist in the Redlands. She has also been facilitating workshops within the professional and public community sectors. Gayle holds a Master of Arts in Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy (MIECAT), is an SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner), Graduate Certificate (MIECAT), Bachelor of Education (QUT) in drama, dance and media, Associate Diploma Arts (NRCAE)in drama and dance and is dedicated to ongoing lifelong learning. Other relevant associations and registrations include: Professional registration with ACATA (Australian Creative Arts Therapy  Association), Qld Teacher Registration, Exemption from Blue Card, First Aid.

  • Gayle offers Experiential Arts Therapy for children, adults and groups and Somatic Experiencing sessions from her home studio  
  • Gayle is a drama and dance specialist at St Anthony's Primary School. ( 2005-current
  • Gayle works as an Arts Therapist with students from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds at Woodridge state High School(2016 - current)
